Building Homes for Heroes and Windermere Foundation raise over $70,000 for severely-wounded veteran - Windermere Florida

In conjunction with the Windermere Country Club Foundation, Building Homes for Heroes held the “Home for a Hero” golf outing on February 23, 2010 at the Windermere Country Club in Florida. The event, which drew 155 golfers and 40 guests, raised $72,500. The proceeds will benefit Army Sergeant Joel Tavera. The Tavera Family will be the next Building Homes for Heroes’ home recipient.

Among the highlights of the event was the announcement of the winner of the 2010 Nissan Altima, which was donated by Reed Nissan of Orlando, Fl. The winner of the automobile was Dominic Morelli of Yonkers, New York.
